Design Is Not Dead, It's Comatose
It is graphic design's inability to define itself and provide certification of its trade that has relegated its laborers to the remedial tasks of merely transferring the designs of information architects and business managers without any of the industry's original communicative aesthetic sensibility, giving rise to the lack of quality craftsmanship with the absorption of designers' tools into mass marketed toolboxes for the untrained and unqualified without any accompanying set of instructions, warning labels, or caveats.
