Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black
- J.R. Cash
So it's been a while since I've really paid any attention to this 'blog. I've been trying to figure out where to take it. The unapologetic assault of the Bush administration grew tiresome, especially with me only repeating the obvious. And the negativity became depressing. But after my first poetry open mic, and with a renewal of hope for at least some semblance of political chage via coming elections, I am attempting add some positive prose to the mix.
With temps already deepening into the 30s up here, the head-to-toe black winter wardrobe is peaking out from the dresser. Oddly enough, with Johnny gone, I've never felt so comfortable in black. Under autum's colorful burn, here's looking forward to celebrating a season of rebirth under the gray winter freeze.
