U.S. war on the world: Can we stop them?

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 7:00 P.M.
REVOLUTION BOOKSTORE
1103 N. Ashland Avenue, Chicago

- U.S. WAR ON THE WORLD: Afghanistan, the Philippines, next . . . Iraq. Bush has declared an "open ended" war. What is behind this? What, if anything, does it have to do with 9/11?

- IS AMERICA SAFER by curtailing our civil rights and waging this war on the world?

- WILL THEY USE NUCLEAR WEAPONS? Many thought at the end of the Cold War, the U.S. would get rid of their nuclear weapons. Instead, they're building new ones. What danger does this pose for the future of humanity?

- IRAQ is next? U.S. has declared its intention to attack Iraq. Is there any justification for this?

- AND WHAT ABOUT ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM . . . Why has it grown in regions oppressed by U.S. imperialism? What does it represent?

- CAN WE STOP THEM? Is this juggernaut of war and repression as unstoppable as they would make us believe OR can we build a movement to stop them.
