Buy An SUV, Support Terrorism
Hopefully you've gotten a good laugh from the President's Office of National Drug Policy's new anti drug advertisements attempting to lay a guilt trip on the most guilt free materialistically gluttonous society in the world. But here's the counterpart to the new anti drug campaign that you'll never see.
"Where do terrorists get their money? If you buy an SUV, some of it may come from you."
Every SUV purchased increases demand for the petroleum guzzling behemoths, giving the anti environment Bush administration and their giant American auto industry bedfellows reason to not restrict their fuel consumption thereby limiting their ability to manufacture and sell even more sport utility vehicles at the expense of public safety and environmental stability. With even oil drilling in Alaska not enough to increase a usable oil supply until 10 years from now and then only creating a six month reserve, our continued dependency on oil strengthens the money laundering corruption of those who can obtain enough petroleum wealth to buy our American made weapons and then fire them back at us. Of course that just gives us an excuse to demonize their sociopolitical struggles as wrought with terrorism so that we may then commandeer their oil with UN support. And you thought the drug problem was bad.
